David couldn't even walk at six months when he crawled to his father's 4x5 Speed Grahic to explore all the shiny knobs on the camera. There were lots of these "toys" around the house since his father, Zeny, was a professional photographer.

The photographic experience is not just about equipment, technique, light and composition, but also the sense of adventure when you've got an open mind, the senses are alert, and all the world is out there for you to capture with your camera. Cartier-Bresson's insight, which I share, is that photography is the alignment of the mind, the eye, and the heart.
